A storyteller, always watching I will capture your story for you in a natural and organic way. 

My favourite images are captured when people don’t know I am taking them, the narrative of tender moments, the theatrics of friends, the embellishments, the embraces, the humour, the sadness and the love.

 Forever memories which will transcend generations.

Whilst my photo style is ‘spontaneous’ and ‘ in the moment’ allowing you to spend as much time as possible spent enjoying the company of the people you love, when the time is right, I’m not afraid to round people up for group shots if required (I have plenty of cattle herding experience as a farmer’s daughter!)

I believe in giving you ALL your photographs, meaning everything I shoot on your wedding or event.  I want you to remember your day exactly as it was.

Family and Newborn Portraits

The first few days and weeks with a new-born can be emotional and fragile. This shoot usually takes place in the first week to 10 days and can be done in the comfort of your own home using natural light to capture you and your baby. I provide my own props but also suggest that you can use gifts that have been given to you to make this experience as personal as possible.

I love to include siblings, pets and parents if possible.  The shoot will be very relaxed planned around what you feel is right for you and your baby. 

Family 

When I was a child our annual family photo involved (very bad haircuts) and me being forced to sit next to my two older sisters and grimace whilst we taunted and nipped each other! 

Whilst these images have an amusing place in our family history, the images I prefer (and love to capture) involve children (even the grown up ones!) hugging each other, enjoying playing in nature, be it climbing trees and gates, playing with leaves and splashing in puddles or in the lake making for real smiles and precious family memories. 

I prefer to shoot outside as much as possible using natural light. Based in the English Lake District we are very fortunate to have magnificent scenery to use as our backdrop therefore why wouldn’t you?!  

My goal is to give you an experience which you will all enjoy (yes even those camera-shy members of your family) as well as presenting you with gorgeous images which will be cherished by generations.

Please don't worry about your children "performing" for the camera. It’s best when you let them be themselves and allow their unique personality to shine through. 

Creating brand personality

After University and travelling, I worked for a very swanky Brand Agency in London.  My time with this agency helped me learn all about the importance of personal branding & story telling in gaining competitive advantage. 

If you want to stand out from the rest, your brand story is key.  This means much more than just photos of your products. This means photos of you, your hobbies your style and services. Capturing this authentically is the best way for you to connect emotionally with your clients and provide value for your business way beyond your physical assets.
